Lady Pioneer Basketball Players Lead Statistical Categories in Conference and Nationally

Several members of the Lady Pioneer Basketball Team have been recognized nationally by the NJCAA for their talent and work on the court this year.  Jemiah Harrison ranks in the top 10 in field goal percentage and top 50 in rebounding.  Kendrea Duke, 2015-16 TCCAA Freshman of the Year, ranks in the top 20 in field goal percentage and top 50 in rebounding while being ranked 28th in the nation in blocked shots.  Samantha Parker led the nation in 2015-16 in 3-point field goal percentage at 60% and has repeated that again this season leading the nation with 55% shooting.  Denisha Bowman ranks 12th in the nation for blocked shots.  Keanna Briscoe just missed the top 50 in assists and freshman Zoe Johnson was just outside the top 50 in steals.  All the sophomore Lady Pioneers are being recruited by 4-year colleges and have an opportunity to continue their education and playing careers.

In the TCCAA Conference, Jemiah Harrison is #1 in field goal percentage followed by Kendrea Duke at #2 and Zoe Johnson at #5.  In conference rebounding, Jemiah is #2, Kendrea #4 and Denisha Bowman #6.  In conference scoring, Jemiah is #2, Kendrea is #4 and Samantha Parker, Keanna Briscoe and Zoe Johnson round out the top 50.  Conference blocked shots is led by Denisha Bowman at #1, Kendrea #4 and Jemiah #8.  Zoe Johnson is 13th in conference steals and 14th in assists followed by Keanna Briscoe at #16.  Samantha Parker leads the conference at #1 in 3-point field goal percentage.
