Dyersburg State Pulls Away From Pioneers in Second Half

At half-time the Pioneers were tied 41-41 with the top team in the league.  Greg Gordan's inside play (29 points, 11 rebounds) and Turbo Smith's 21 points and 10 assists were too much for Vol State at the end of the game.  "We had no answer for those two men," stated Coach Melvin.  A poor night from the 3-point line (4-21) led to a poor finish for the Pioneers.  Kailon Benton-Hamilton finished with 10 points, Isaiah Perry 7 points, Jaylan Clemmons 8 points, Brennon Marsh, 9 points and 7 rebounds, Kaden Paul 9 points, Peyton West 5 points and 8 assists, Davion Moses 5 points, and Terrance Cross 8 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists.
