Bio

Tye Cole brings more than 25 years of experience in collegiate and elite player development as Head Coach of Women’s Soccer at Volunteer State Community College. A seasoned leader and program builder, Cole has coached at the collegiate, academy, and semi-professional levels, with a career defined by long-term development, competitive success, and a strong commitment to the student-athlete experience.
 
Cole’s collegiate background includes serving as Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Averett University and as an Assistant Coach at the University of West Georgia, where he played a key role in recruiting, training design, match preparation, and video analysis. Across these roles, he has been recognized for fostering disciplined, competitive environments while emphasizing academic accountability and personal growth.
 
In addition to his collegiate experience, Cole has worked extensively within elite development environments. He has coached and scouted within the New York Red Bulls organization, an MLS club with a nationally recognized academy system, and served as Head Coach in the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL), a semi-professional league featuring collegiate and post-collegiate players pursuing higher levels of the game. At the youth and club levels, his leadership has contributed to multiple state championships, regional titles, and a National Final Four appearance.
 
A former collegiate player at Lee University and Belmont University, Cole holds a Bachelor of Science degree and advanced coaching credentials, including United Soccer Coaches Premier and Director of Coaching Diplomas, the USSF, and extensive Scottish FA education. He is known for his relational leadership style, attention to detail, and commitment to building sustainable programs grounded in excellence, integrity, and development on and off the field.
